General Information
This is an advanced course in financial management for Master students, especially those with a major in finance. It is based on class-room case discussions (in groups) focusing on financial management problems of global or Estonian companies and relys active seminar participation. The seminars take place from week 1 to 8, on Monadys starting 17.45 in room SOC-213.
The aim of the course is to:
- to create conditions for in-depth understanding of financial management concepts and issues, and
- develop skills of financial management using analysis of cases.
The prerequisite for taking this course is familiarity with core corporate finance concepts including time value of money, investment valuation methods, cost of capital, financial analysis, capital structure and working capital management, financial statements’ forecasting (e.g. TER1420, MEF5040, TER2605, TER0420, TER2550, or TER0440).
